Shiloh (Nikkala thru Vespa)
Sat Jun 2, 2018 5:19am

Nikki noticed Averie eating and started to eat as well. She glanced towards the nursery, where the soft, content purrs from Kiva came through the baby monitor crystal. She was still soundly sleeping, a happy little kitten. She looked to Averie’s wrapped arm again as they ate. Once she knew he was okay, maybe… maybe he could try to call his friend… and see if she would mind coming by to give Kiva the same touch that she’d given Averie… to ensure she’d never fall victim in a similar or worse way.

Nour felt almost weak when she heard his voice. He hadn’t set foot here in ages, initially out of anger. Not so much with her as with the others when they essentially forced him to follow their decision that the Ancients leave D’jorin to the mortals and only watch and guide from a distance or through conduits and artifacts left behind. She knew Solace had held deep resentment for a long time and only upon meeting Averie had that anger slowly subsided. Though, with her, Solace had always been different than with the others. Somehow she who made the seas and the light that lived in it could put her light even in the angst phoenix. She turned to face him as he was here, now… closer than he’d been when she found him through that connection between Averie and Ivy last night. “Tomoe is back,“ she said as she looked up at him and closed her eyes when he cupped her cheek. “There’s no if. It is Tomoe…“ She opened her eyes to look up at him and then turned away a bit. “Rohdorn was here, distraught and angry. Raiser used his own gifts to the Elves to trap her and release her, but… he said the last verse was safe from her.“ She looked back to him. “Which means Tomoe won’t be fully under her control. Corrupted in ways, perhaps, but she won’t be a puppet to Raiser. We may be able to get through to her… convince her to come home.“ Being so close to him, to actually feel him here, it was hard to stay focused on Tomoe… It would be wrong to let herself think about anything else, right?

Senn listened to Yuuri and nodded. “Then maybe we should thinka bout getting up, getting some breakfast brought here so we can let you meet up with her this morning,“ he suggested. “Well, if she’s feeling torn on anything, I know you’ll be able to help her through it and help her figure out what she wants. You two have come such a long way since you found out you were sisters. You have a good bond. If anyone can talk to her openly, it’s you.”

Topaz’s tall ears were soft against Fii’s skin as they seemed to tip back and forth at the sound of his chuckle. Of course, Fii seemed to know how to handle the roo. She wasn’t so easy to keep still and she sometimes felt antsy just relaxing like this… even with the berries in her system, but Fii’s gentle coaxings that they could rest a little while longer with the promise that they won’t be in so long that she’ll get pruney, seemed to settle Topaz a bit. “Then… can you talk? The quiet is… too quiet,“ she said, which he’d understand from her. She wasn’t always comfortable with just doing nothing. At least if he told her a story, she would be actively listening to something, her mind busy with absorbing it. “Tell me about Arcadia…“ she said. He’d tell her snippets, but he’d yet to tell her a real story from it. Anything about his family aside from his sister. When he did speak of it, it was with warmth and fondness, so he had good memories to speak of, she was certain. It was a place that’s name he wished to give her in marriage, after all.

Bayla looked at Sable and smiled. “I don’t mind,” she said. A small walk to stretch her legs would do her some good and she wouldn’t want Sable going alone, even if the roles felt somewhat reversed right now, with Sable looking after Bayla. And by going by the river a bit, it allowed her family to see that she was okay and let her father and little sister know.

Maks’s ears twitched a bit at Shale’s impish tones and her amusement. He then looked down at Vi and smiled at the girl when she looked up at him. “We’re almost there. You’ll be back with your sisters soon.“

Vi blushed a bit and hugged Maks’ hand. “Thank you,“ she said, looking up at him.

Ginga listened as Fauve explained what she’d learned of Maks’ tribe and what she hoped for their own. She felt torn. Part of her felt it was an obligation for their tribe to one day return to the plains and reclaim their lands when all of the was over, rebuild and do it better than their mother had… but she also had this sinking feeling that their home may not be what they remember for a long time after this… while it sounded as though the north was greatly untouched by Raiser’s reach. “Would they even accept another tribe up there?“ she asked simply.

Gypsy nodded a bit. She turned and let go of Braska’s hand, stepping after Taupe a bit. “Taupe? Why don’t you… join us… for breakfast? And to talk? Seems like something’s… bothering you. Maybe you could use a friend or two for a sounding board?“ she offered. She and Braska holding hands, oddly enough, wasn’t anything too new. Taupe might suspect something, but she might also just assume they were still friends who everyone else knew were in love with each other.

Meeka listened in awe as though frau was telling her a story instead of a piece of her‘s and Liam‘s actual lives. She paused a moment as she seemed to be absorbing it, making her own sense of the words Frau said. And then she smiled, “I think Frau and Liam are married,” she said with a small squeak. In a way, it made sense why she‘d think that, from all Daire explained to her. Liam and Frau went through something that was only possible if they had true love, like she‘d been told marriage should be… so, rings or no rings, it would seem to the mink, the two phoenixes were already wed.

Thayne looked down at Baillie and smiled, watching her walk, her tail starting to sway more and more like normal as the creams and zion worked to help her. “What do you feel like you’ll want to have to eat today, Baillie?“ he asked, still under the assumption he would be the one dining with the margay, though the opportunity to give her time to develop her social skills and grow a bit in ways Meeka had been coming along in would be hard for him to pass up. He wanted to give Baillie the chance to lead the most normal life she possibly could, and these opportunities were important for that, and these other relationships outside of himself were crucial, which was something he, Daire and Ceil all seemed to agree with and encourage when it came to the girls.

Cleo walked out with him and then paused and looked up and down the corridors before stepping in close to Ceil and looking up at him. It was her quiet indication she wanted to be carried. To some, Ceil always carrying the ermine around might mean either he was being overly protective and denying her her freedoms to walk on her own, or that she was perhaps overly spoiled and refused to walk on her own… but the truth was clear. She was either feeling comfortable or nervous, and when she was nervous about something, being in his arms made her feel safe… and today, she was nervous… plus still a bit sore! But at least it was her choice.

“Well, they’re little now, and we can work with that,“ Ashe said with a smile. She sighed a bit, shifting some. “Can you… put him back in his crib?“ she asked Rumi, a little worried about disturbing Orrin as her arms felt a bit weak. She was still recovering as well. One thing that would certainly aid the Zion in rejuvenating the magics and strength of a Golden Hind would be Miravor or Miravanna, though it wasn’t being distributed just yet, as Sarah was still testing it and determining a way to safely distribute dosages for others to use without supervision. For now, it seemed Ashalia just had to know her limits.

Lassa felt the bed shift under her and looked over at Trilander as he seemed to be trying to get himself situated. She blushed deeply as it was impossible to miss how aroused the prince still was, perhaps even moreso than he’d been when he first retrieved the food from the kitchen maid! She nodded a bit when he said it was okay that she was full and couldn’t quite finish. She’d done well considering. The selkie would certainly have more energy to work with now, which was good for her, the pups and, well… Trilander, who had plenty of thoughts for how to utilize that energy! She watched him return and blushed a tad deeper as he traced her cheek, smiling a him. “Trilander,“ she said quietly, looking up into his eyes. “You… didn’t eat much…“ she noted with that coy innocence that just seemed to stir him.

Odette couldn’t explain what it meant to have this time with Soliel, to really get to know her, to build this friendship and relationship with her, not only at Lance’s side, but one on one. She admittedly didn’t have the greatest history herself. She’d been a bit spoiled, acted a bit superior, felt rules didn’t apply to her… but she also lived that way because of how her mother was. But a lot changed when meeting Lance and falling in love with him. Odette rebelled against everything her mother expected of her and wanted of her to be with Lance and, honestly, she couldn’t be happier with how life was now. With him… and meeting Soleil. “Good, because if I was the only one still hungry for another, I’d have to wonder,“ she mused, jokingly. Spring fever and babies seemed to go hand-in-hand, but Odette was sure she and Lance had been safe. They wanted to wait on those things -- marriage and babies -- until Soleil was acclimated to things better… though were she to know that, odds were that Soleil would berate her brother on putting his own life on pause instead of letting her get to be a sister-in-law and a potential aunt.

Yuna got onto one of the chairs and got settled, draping her long, silky tail over her lap. She smiled up at Silvi and nodded. “I like crepes. Yes, please.“ It was clear that Yuna’s interactions in the castle had helped break the kitten of her training to hold her tongue and not have opinions. She was a happy and vibrant kitten, who had come to learn good manners merely from observation, even if she still struggled in many other areas.

Kia was curled up in bed with Saber, resting as requested. She wasn’t in a deep sleep. That tended to send her mind spiraling back to the nightmarescape that she’d walked through in Saber’s mind, or the portions of it controlled at the time by the Hellcat. Even someone as naturally inclined towards dreams and soul treking as her, she could still suffer echoes or scars from it for a time if it was traumatic enough. It’d been worth it to save Saber, though… and soon she’d be asked to help someone else, though not in the same way. Kia had never had to explain it to anyone or teach them… it would be different for her, and just to learn of Millie’s heritage would probably surprise her.

Sarah sighed a bit and nodded her head. “Exactly, Opal,“s he said with a warm smile, as though to reinforce that thought for the serval. She handed the vial to her. “Administer the doses over the next few hours and keep me apprised of his progress. If it works as quickly as it says it should, we can get the other dire cases started on it and figure out a way to mass treat the rest of the afflicted.“

Vespa looked up at Haru and listened as he essentially let Drak know they were okay for right now. She looked back over to Drak and took a breath, pausing briefly before managing to speak. Her voice sounded tired, which was no surprised. She looked like she was still depleted. “Maybe tomorrow…“ It was her indirect way of letting him know… if he wished to come again, she was open to it. It was progress, considering she had every reason to be confused by his sudden open concern and regard for her now, too.
