Shiloh (Del thru Nascha)
Re: No Subject

Delilah finally made it to the Sacred Oak where the Healing Ward was. She met with one of the Priestesses, who let her see the other two Guards who had been injured while trying to return to Unkindness. They were in stable condition, but it was clear they hadn't fully expected the attack, either. She sat down beside their cots and spoke with them, getting their side of things and more information to put this puzzle together. Delilah was good at this part, even if she didn't have much need of her past until this moment. She was always looking a few steps ahead and she knew what to look for. This had Chaos written all over her, even though she'd never had encounters with the warlord herself, luckily... until now, it seemed.

Orion looked slightly confused himself. "I'd say maybe Donovan was mistaken about it, but... she denied the request. You don't deny a request if you don't have what's being asked for," the Raven-Jay reasoned before looking back at Safira. He then nodded to Rotta. "You should send word to Donovan that Princess Rachel refused," he said. "If we need someone to go out there and find the camp... we'll have to plan it smartly. We can't be caught out there when the Abyss is most active," he noted, "and we can't leave our defenses as they are..." Just then a message would have come through from Delilah regarding Guards to retrieve crystals from the Treasury Guards to enhance the power of the lanterns after having consulted with Donovan. "What's that?" Orion asked, pulling out his crystal.

Twilight looked at Acer when he said that. Yet. It was a small word, but it changed the entire feel of things. She nodded a bit and looked down at Liora's little hands reached out to press against Twilight's arm as well from where she was still held in her daddy's arms. "I never know when that's okay to do anymore," she admitted to Acer, holding Lukken securely with one arm as she brought her free hand up to wipe her cheeks dry. She took a breath to try to compose herself again. "When do I get to think of me, Acey? Everyone's counting on me. And it's going to come out... what I am... I can feel it. I don't know how I'm supposed to be." She looked over at Jupiter and sighed, looking down at her nephew. She and Jupiter didn't even really get to have a honeymoon.

Vera didn't need him to curse out loud for her to notice the shift in him upon seeing Gizmo. She walked up with him as the girl turned upon being addressed.

"Huh... is that you're new line, Rio?" Gizmo asked as she finished hanging the glass globe planter and turned to rest her hands on the railing of her small storefront porch. "A little less forced cheer and it might get you something," she mused, calling him out. Her eyes then moved to Vera and back to Rio. "Who is she?" she asked.

"A friend," Vera said simply, not wanting to bring more trouble to Rio.

"Uh huh. I know what sort of friends Rio has. Pretty sure I still hold the record, though. So don't expect to be around long, hmm?" Gizmo said, assuming Vera was just another 'benefits' friend that Rio had been sleeping with, and she'd soon bore him. "Changing things up with a Gatan of all things, huh, Rio?" she asked. "Didn't realize you were into claws and tails now."

"I think you're confused. We're just here because you have something we need. A part to a transmitter and receiver," Vera said, cool and unfazed, though she was sizing up Gizmo and what Rio saw in her... and why he was still affected by the girl, even in this uneasy way.

"Oh, your little toy broke again?" Gizmo asked, knowingly. "Yeah, he showed me that one our second sleepover," she noted to Vera. "Wait... have you... have you really not slept with her yet, Rio? Hmm... maybe you are just friends." She seemed somewhat content with the thought that there was nothing between Rio and this Serval. Vera felt it was up to Rio whether or not he opted to say they were... dating? Was that what they were doing? Yeah... the thought made her smile a moment even, but... such information seemed like it might be more trouble than value to tell Gizmo about.

Koi laughed as well and then shook her head, blushing a bit. "I'd... rather keep it a surprise for him. Lady Delilah is trying to figure out the best place for the wedding so it won't be a huge spectacle," she said. "Maybe once she figures that out, we can bring the dress there for safekeeping... for the day," she said, taking a deep breath and turning to look at her reflection again. "That just made my stomach flip flop," she admitted, having gotten a wave of nervous and anxious butterflies at the thought of how close it was. She and Mars acted like they were already married, and in their hearts they were, but soon it would be official. "Did I tell you... he's going to see his father today?" she asked, looking back to Rachel, even as she moved to start working the dress off. "His dad came around yesterday and we talked. He wanted to fix things with Mars... he even asked if he could walk me down the aisle..." she said. She trusted Rachel and talked with her about these things a lot. She didn't have any sisters of her own and Twilight was often so busy or exhausted or in dire need to time with Jupiter or her family... so Koi grew very close to Rachel.

Saffy laughed and shook her head a bit, "Oh you," she mused before returning the kiss. She broke it after a few moments and smiled. "We're supposed to be walking and stretching our legs... and all you can seem to do is kiss and cuddle," she mused, though not that she was minding. "Whatever will you do without me for those few hours?" she teased playfully, leaning up to rub noses with him.

"This is a room of science, Horace. Here scientists and inventors blend science and magic so it can work together... but as Serg said, it's something we don't understand how it works ourselves and is best left to those who do understand." He led the boy out with Serg and pulled the door shut, hearing the mechanical lock latch itself securely. Torin must've just not pulled the door tight enough. But he'd left nothing of risk inside the lab after yesterday. "Come on... we're close to the dining room," he said, hurrying the prince away before his curiosity rose again.

Senn chuckled and shook his head as torin and Juno approached. "Seems to be," Senn said as he stepped up and shook Torin's hand in greeting. They'd become good friends after all, what with Torin married to Yuuri's sister and... though Senn would wait to let yuuri tell them... he'd soon be married to Yuuri. They'd all be family after that. "Yuuri insisted I come. She thought you'd be here too."

"Did we interrupt something?" Juno asked, having seen the way they were holding each other and talking so closely when she and torin were walking up.

"Nope. We were just waiting," Senn assured them as he stepped back beside Yuuri. "You okay?" he asked Juno, who nodded a bit. But Senn glanced at Torin curiously. He could scent something off with her, unaware of the bizarre nightmare she'd had... which was identical to the one Yuuri had experienced.

Sandy's ears perked up curiously and she smiled, looking down at Pan as he rested his head against her chest. "Is that what you're doing? Listening to my purrs?" she asked with a smile, having been confused until he spoke about purrs healing the sick. She brought a hand up to rest on the back of his head, her fingers playing in his hair and over one of his panther ears. "I wonder if it's true..." she said quietly, about purrs healing, her purrs still rumbling away happily as she spoke.

Garand smiled to himself as he watched Lana march on ahead of him. He pulled the door closed behind himself and followed after her. Just yesterday she'd expressed such regret and guilt over not having her purpose or place here, at least not clearly defined... so to see her with that spirit and drive he knew her having before the Abyss trapped them all in the boundaries of these ground... it was a good feeling.

Ikki nodded, "well... I was thinking about heading over to see Shana training up the new recruits," he said, since Saiken was taking the day off to spend with his wife. Ikki often kept himself up on who was entering the ranks of the Guard, Knights, Sentinels or what have you in the castle. Fang trained them al to obtain intel, and Ikki didn't stop doing that since they arrived here. It was of little use to anyone, but it kept him attuned to his training.

"Who knows. Lady Dia and Lord Traitorin have already cleared plans to build an entirely new wing to the castle for this school... I bet Mystrians and Humes from all over D'Jorin will send their children to it once all of this mess is over. And when all of the refugees are able to go and return safely to their homes to rebuild... there's be so many rooms for students to stay in while here," she said with a smile. Serg wasn't the only one thinking about it. She told him she was behind his dream, and she'd meant it.
