Shiloh (Juno thru Sarah)

Juno glanced over at Yuuri when she said it so casually. ‘You too.‘ Juno no longer felt the pang of her brand, which she’d worn without any knowledge inside of her, on the shard her father gave her. She’d been under his whim since childhood, a slave without a visible leash, since day one. She’d literally died to break her brand and his control over her. Rebirth spared her the physical reminder, unlike Yuuri, who still had the scar on her lower back. “It wasn’t a dream…“ she whispered, taking a breath. “I know him… and it was him. Which means his shard remains somewhere… it’s a tether… must be,“ she rationalized. It’d be easier if she could pass it off as just a dream, but now… Yuuri had it too and Juno knew all of his tricks…

Nour looked up at him, her ears lifting before tipping back again at the way he said her name. It was just as he always said it and yet so different now. There was an even deeper gentleness and a warmth that he’d tried to hide, as had she. And while she knew he struggled for the words, just the way he said her name spoke so much of what he was feeling. “I know,“ she said quietly. In all of these eons, she hadn’t expected this moment would ever happen… that she and Solace would find themselves together, despite their hearts having wanted it so all along… So strong was the desire and yet the distance that more came of it than even they knew. It manifested in other ways where it couldn’t between them until now.

Rohdorn hoped that La’Shire was notifying Traitorin or Silvitrista of the approaching Ancient in need of her shelter. It was going to be a situation requiring discretion. An Ancient walking openly amongst mortals was bound to cause problems, to stir mixed emotions, some would take it as a bad omen that the world would end and the Ancients would return and start fresh… others would be blinded by their faith in the Ancients for salvation where they were meant to be relatively hands-off, save for a few key points.

Paz listened to him and knew the truth in his reassurances. The fox had held back his desires before, when she wasn’t ready to go that step… so she knew that his promise for them to take things as they were comfortable for her was something she could trust and believe. She nodded a little. If she didn’t have such deep trust in him, he wouldn’t be able to so easily reassure her, but Fii was one of only two who could. He and Yuuri… “Thank you…“ she said quietly, studying him warmly. Even if he couldn’t see her, it felt like he could, and he probably could in some sense tell just where she was or what expression she was making…. He could read her better than anyone with sight could.

Ginga seemed a little surprised by the comparison, but then she smiled. “Thanks, Aster,“ she said. “I’m glad you think so,“ she said. Her little sister’s innocent take on the changed Ginga went through so suddenly… made her feel a little less self-conscious in her own skin. “I wish I knew why they were glowing like this, though,” she whispered more to herself than to her kid sister, but soon it faded out, leaving only the deep golden marks swirling over her skin, the inner light now quieted… for now.

Vi looked at Fauve quietly for a moment as she spoke and then hugged her tightly as Fauve carried her. “Good..“ she said with a small whine, not like she might cry, but like she was more relieved than a child should be to hear they wouldn’t be left again.

Ginge looked up as Fauve addressed her once they reached the dining room. “Oh… I uh… I‘ll consider that,” she said, nodding a bit. “Right now, though, let‘s just focus on breakfast,” she urged, looking down at Aster.

“I know, Shale. I know… It’s not my family, but they could be one day… and I just want to help Fauve make this place as healing as possible for them all… even Ginseng,“ he said, using the girl’s full name instead of her nickname. He moved around Fauve and felt, as she was talking with Ginga, it was a safe move to make. He opened the door, holding it so they could all go inside.

Meeka sighed contently as her little tummy felt nice and full. She settled back in her chair and watched the others, listening curiously and yet underneath, the mink was holding in her eagerness to go have fun with Baillie at the palace spa. It was such a fun place after her first nervous visit with Frau, and when Daire wanted to get some things done, usually to surprise her, which he seemed to enjoy doing, Frau would take her to the spa and have some quality time with her and Baillie if Baillie was interested.

Cleo looked just a bit confused. She was trying to follow what Frau was saying. It sounded pretty, all of her words and yet Cleo was a little lost, and that made her feel even more insecure. She would consider herself clever or quick… nor was she in any regard learned. Ceil read to her, but she rarely could keep herself interested in following along, and he never pushed her. But… worth the wait… that was a turn of phrase she was familiar with, because Ceil often said it to her. She was worth the wait… “… It’s pretty…“ she said quietly. She was a girl of few words, but that was only because she was still shy and hiding, much like that flower. Ceil had gotten her to be quite talkative with him, even if she wasn’t a big talker in general.

“Trying to change the subject already, Daire?“ Thayne asked with a smirk when he veered away from the conversation about how soft Daire had gotten with the petite mink at his side. “Baillie is improving… I’m not in any rush with her. I’m enjoying the pace we’re at,“ he admitted. “She’s happy and she’s getting stronger and more curious and free, and that’s plenty for me for right now,“ he said with a smile. Thayne wasn’t exactly known for being committed, so this was new for him too. He knew he wanted to be committed to Baillie… and he was, just not the way Daire was looking to be with Meeka or Ceil hoped to be with Cleo one day, not just yet.

Lassa panted heavily, though her breathing was already beginning to steady out. Her body, on the other hand, was holding him so snug and still responding with every tiny move he made. It didn’t seem like he even had to tie to have the same effect, what with both of them so sensitive and stimulated. “I love… you… Trilander…“ she said, looking up at him as he was barely bracing himself over her, recovering as well from that last tryst.

“You’re over here all alone?“ Yuna asked, her voice sounding sad at the thought. She then nodded a bit and moved to start climbing the stairs with Silvi, holding a little tighter to her hand, her tail sweeping back and forth behind her as though ensuring her balance and footing up the crystal steps wouldn’t waver. She wasn’t an ungraceful kitten. Far from it, but she had been injured when she first came here, when Altair found her and healed her… but she seemed a little wary of reinsuring her leg, as though she’d always remember what it’d felt like. And it had happened on stairs, or rather being thrown down them when the rescue teams were trying to rescue slaves in town and her keeper was trying to prevent them from taking her to the castle too.

Solan didn’t fail in his efforts to get Keelin to blush, as she did just that. She couldn’t hide his affect on her as her cheeks became rosier with each passing moment of his smiles and his husky chuckles and his teasing words. She moved in to give him a soft, sweet kiss, breaking it gently and looking at him again with that shyly inviting look in her eyes. He’d made every moment since he proposed to her feel like a dream. She still felt like they were in one… sleeping in the elegant bed in the middle of these stunning gardens… like something out of a fairytale or something.

Wynter let out a sharp, startled yelp when she was suddenly drenched, and worse yet, in cold water. Her heart was pounding and she was shivering from a combination of nerves and cold. For a brief moment, she’d thought she was back in the dungeons, being doused in icy water as a cruel means of ‘bathing’ her or just for the amusement of the guards. La’Shire couldn’t have known, though. Wynter’s chin started to tremble as she felt tears gather in her eyes. She didn’t know what had happened, but she knew she wanted to cry, sitting there in her soaked bed and soaked clothes.

Eko grumbled a bit in his sleep, a rumbling prelude to what might become a purr under the right conditions. He stretched a bit before curling up around Kirie some more, his tail coming up to curl around her as well. He didn’t sense the danger in the same way she seemed to… but he did happily cuddle up to the warmth of her in his arms and her scent, which he knew even in his sleep. No one would accuse Kirie of any crime if he’d have anything to say about it, nor would they take what was rightfully hers.

Sarah looked at Koran curiously when he asked that. She wasn’t naïve enough to think her husband and his son were thinking of ways to potentially weaponize the Miravana to fight the Furies directly, but she was grateful that Drak was clearly minding how much he’d go into it in her presence, in her place of healing. She nodded a bit. “Alright, well… I’m sure Naiya can put me into contact with the girl who made it,” she said, hoping the mention of Naiya wouldn’t bother Drak. She had created the Zion, and the vials the Miravana came in were the same as what had been used in Naiya’s alchemy lab… though Naiya had clearly not written the instructions or made it, but she would know who had.
