Shiloh (Nour thru Sarah)
Re: No Subject
Fri Sep 14, 2018 11:14pm

Nour blushed deeply as she heard his chirps… sounds she’d only heard a couple of times before from him, and only when they were utterly alone with each other… because he didn’t feel comfortable enough to let himself be that open any other time. “I love those sounds,“ she said as she nestled her cheek against his shoulder as they embraced.

“What are you doing? I said no,“ Nara said as she stepped into the main solar of her palace. The door was well hidden, the gateway between this realm and the next, but Draco knew where they all were, and he had just released the seals on the door between Somnambula and Elysium. Odds were that Solace and Nour might notice the glow from the door as it slowly opened.

“It’s been long enough. There is no better time… and we all know what’s coming. Orkla told us so… and they need to know about you, and you about them,“ Draco said. Orkla resides in Somnambula as well, but kept mostly to herself. She was ever watching, past, present and future… every realm, every plane… Rarely did she interact with anyone, and Somnabula was an ideal place for it.

“I’m not dallying…“ Luminos said, looking at Adriel. “I’m just… figuring out what to say to her…“ he admitted, looking at the image of Millie and Tomoe. He looked back to his friend. “Seems this is the time that everything becomes known…“ he said, which was just another thing Orlka had warned them of. He nodded a bit and turned to walk off, the space in front of him dancing with living starlight and he walked through it, disappearing… on his way back to La’shire.

Topaz was so confused when Fii kept laughing… not at her and yet because of her… because he found her… adorable. It was still somewhat odd to hear the compliment. She never really thought of herself as adorable until she met Fii, who made a point of telling her how everything she did was adorable to him… even her naivety over intimacy and mating, and her hard-to-get games. She closed her eyes and returned the nuzzling a bit before her ears went tall atop her head again, hearing the knock on the door. She shifted a bit as the door opened and in stepped Tala and Seimei.

“Fii,“ Tala greeted with a smile. She had gotten this bad feeling yesterday, but seeing him there with Topaz, a smile on his face and looking like none of the traumas from the other day were still clinging to him… she was none the wiser that he’d been through anything.

Nikki thought a moment and then shook her head a bit. “Maybe… some Andari Peach Tea instead?“ she asked. When served cold, it had a very subtle, but lovely flavor that wouldn’t be as tart or overpowering as the one she had last night. She just wanted something a little more fragrant and less zingy for breakfast.

Cleo listened as Frau spoke. It made sense on some level to the ermine and she smiled a little. She then paused once inside the spa, overwhelmed by all of the scents. None of them were offensive or harsh, but there were so many she didn’t even know of before… shampoos, soaps, lotions, oils… She looked around and then at Amane when Maple directed her attention to the quieter girl. Cleo looked up at Frau nervously, unsure even about talking with someone new… She’d just met three new people this morning already, and been without Ceil at her side while outside the room for a bit now… She’d taken a lot of big steps. “Can you stay with me here?” Cleo asked Frau, probably a comfort to the Phoenix, because it meant she’d earned the girl’s trust.

Maks smiled and laughed a bit, nodding as he stepped back some. “It does that when you know the trick,“ he mused. He moved and put another one in front of here. “Here, try another. Pretty sure you’ve got the knack for it now,“ he mused with that brotherly enthusiasm, even if he and Tae were practically the same age.

Ginga nodded some. “If I remember right… I’d say she does,“ she agreed and then looked around, making eye contact with one of the waitresses who happily came over to take the girls’ orders.

“Wait, we can’t order yet. Maks isn’t back. What do we get for Maks?“ Vi asked with concern. She didn’t want him to go hungry, not really thinking about how Maks was more than able to take care of himself if he were to miss the waitress taking their orders.

Thayne shook his head a bit as Daire told the story about Juno being forced to kill her own mother when she was young. “She didn’t like to talk about it. Whenever she started to feel anything about it, he’d just command her not to… I think Torin changed a lot of that. When he came into her life, Severin lost a lot of his control over her without directly forcing the brand he put in her to do his bidding. I don’t think anyone but him knew that brand was there until Juno did what she did to avoid hurting Traitorin…“ He shrugged a bit. “The man was good at keeping things hidden.“

“But you already do… all the time…“ Keelin said with a loving smile. She leaned up and nuzzled him before giving Solan a kiss. “I’m so happy…“ she said, as though her thumping tail on the bed beside her wasn’t a big enough indication of just how happy the young wolf truly was!

Wynter shifted a bit in the water once the thick foam covered the surface. She tugged the curtain back a bit so she could see Jarral and actually talk with him without a barrier in the way. They were alone… La’Shire off doing other things… and that was a relief. There was no risk of anything untoward happening again in an effort to push them together quicker. “Why do you think she did that?“ she asked quietly, meaning drenched her in such cold water.

Vespa didn’t argue when Miharu pulled her into his arms and got up, cradling her close. She closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder. “Are you feeling better?“ she asked him quietly as he carried her back to the cabin to raid the kitchen and all of the goodies Sarah and Drak had packed for them in that magical picnic basket again.

“I swear the only time I’ve ever smiled like that… is because of you…“ Singo admitted, which was probably true. He wasn’t known for smiling much. They weren’t really allowed to. They had to always appear stoic and strong. Smiling… happiness… joy… these were things his father instilled in him since he was young were signs of a weak tiger. It wasn’t that his father was heartless, it was because he knew Tokeru was a brute of a tiger and if his other sons had any chance at a family or a quality station in the Wylds, they needed to have a certain presence to maintain it… But since he was small, singo found his smile in suna…

Zai looked out of one of the large bay windows around their bedroom and paused as she breathed in the sweet scents of all of the wildflowers. She narrowed her eyes curiously at the approaching figures and get her heart clench in her chest. Tigers… She pulled herself away from the window and made a dash down the stairs, locking the back door at the bottom and then rushing to do the same with the front door, but just as she pushed her body against it to brace it and slide the lock in place, it burst open, sending her tumbling to the floor. She looked up at Tonka stood there, the door cracked right off its hinges. He stepped inside, having taken his spirit form, making way for Tokeru to move in next.

“Well, well. What have we here? A pretty little mouse to play with. All alone in this big house, morsel?” Tonka jeered hungrily. Finally. After months of the same old bedroom fodder back at camp, some fresh meat.

Naiya held onto Breece and watched Kei and Aiyan rush off. She looked down at the kitten, who seemed to stir once more from all of the shouting and stress that suddenly bubbled up in the area again. “Shhh.. It’s okay, Breece… It’ll all be okay,“ she hushed the kitten. She wanted to help, but… she could see the glow in the roses on her wrist…. Ruze was already there for the assist… and Naiya’s responsibility was the baby in her arms. She looked out at the river behind her and then to the tree line where the other Rangers were discretely setting up their look out perches. “Enemies on two fronts… Not exactly comforting…“ she whispered to herself.

A group of rangers were off running when Rosie gave the command. She wasn’t their superior, but Grayson would have done the same, and they would respond to any threat within their boundaries. Bruskan was amongst them, though he would not make nearly as quick a pace as his son-in-law… which worried him. Would Aiyan have anything in him left to actually fight back and help her if he spent it all just getting there before… before…

Eko sat up and narrowed his eyes as he listened to Kirie’s description of what was happening. “Tokeru and Tonka. I should have known they’d be trying something,“ he growled before he got out of the bed. “Maybe Aiyan can’t, but I can…“ he said. “I have to help. Stay here. Keep the doors locked… Please…“ he added at the end. A brief plea, because he knew Kirie’s own desire to help, and he so wished to keep her away from harm after all that happened the previous day with Rodrick… He then moved out of his room and out of the house, shifting to his full tiger form and taking off in the direction of the falls. He knew Kirie would worry. Tokeru had nearly killed Eko in their last encounter… when Eko had come to Naiya’s rescue when Kei was unable to reach her in time. He still bore the scars of that conflict on his body, refusing the Zion that would have made them eventually vanish. He didn’t want to lose the marks that essentially pinpointed the moment when he chose a better path than when the Wylds had always dictated for them. Kei and Aiyan couldn’t handle them on their own. Eko had the mass and strength to throw around with their eldest brother. He only hoped he wasn’t too late to help.

“Mikleia,” Sarah started, moving to kneel on the floor beside the girl and hugging her tightly. “No. None of this is because of you, and had they given you away, it wouldn’t have changed anything. They loved you so very much… love you,“ Sarah corrected gently. “Don’t you see, Mikleia. You are the most precious treasure to Rhealm, because you are their gift from Draco…” she said, rubbing her back. She pulled back a bit and turned off the water, moving to dip a soft wash cloth into the warm bubbles and then gently brushed it over the girl’s cheeks and face to wipe away the tears and the soot. “And Rhealm is not gone. They are not all lost. You cannot know that for certain. And until you find them all again… Rhealm and all of them are here…” she said, lightly touching her heart. “Some day… it will be as you remember it again. The world is… a very strange place these days, but I believe that the places we once thought were lost… could be found again and built anew.” She thought a moment. “Until that happens… you’re not going to be alone… You will never be alone in this place. I promise you that…”

She smiled and sighed a bit. “I know it’s not Rhealm, but… I would love for La’Shire to be your home for however long you want it… I can show you all of my favorite places in La’Shire. You see… you and I aren’t so unalike. I had to leave my home in Straya, too… very suddenly and when I was just about your age… My mother brought me here before I lost her. My father…” she said, meaning Traitorin, “raised me here. He’d lost much himself. His son had left, he’d lost his wife… and here I was in such need for a father and a home and he gave me that and so much more. I want you to have that comfort too… I would like to give you that while you‘re here…”
