How devastating. I'm sure he was looking at you with trust. He trusted you to do the right thing and you did. You were there for him and you surrounded him with a halo of love at the end of his life.

You showed your little guy mercy and put him first. It was an act of altruism in it's purest form. I'm sure Shiloh is looking down at you and your family right now and wagging his tail in gratitude for setting him free of his pain and discomfort. He was loved and he loved, Sue. He couldn't have asked for anything more in his life.
