Hope (Abby and Boomer)
boarding

We don't live in your area, but I thought I'd tell a bit about our experience! We use a place called "Puppy Playhouse" for Abby and Boomer. They do both day and overnight care. There are indoor as well as outdoor play areas and the dogs are separated by size and temperament. All dogs have to do a trial day during which they are temperament tested. For those staying overnight, there are kennels (if they prefer that) or rooms. Abby and Boomer get to stay together and there is even a sofa for them! It is not as fancy as some with the pools and such, but all the employees are so nice and the doodles just love it there. Before we got Boomer, I called them to explain we were getting him as a re-home. They said to bring him by and they would work with him on any issues he may have (he didn't have any problems, but nice to know they work on behavior if needed, too).
Having someone to trade dog sitting is great if you can do that. I do like having a place that we know we can always take them if needed. We had a new roof installed a few months ago and it was so nice to be able to just drop the doodles off to play for the day and know they were happy and not in the way. Good luck with your quest! It's like finding good child care, isn't it?!?

:-)
