Cameron Dempsey
Whatever . . . you say

“That’s fine with me” Cameron said. He wasn’t much of a walker, or a runner, really anything involving his legs. If he’d thought about it he would have said that legs were the absolute worst limb but he was definitely biased. Being physically abused by two large, older brothers who left him with boot shaped bruises would do that to you. Flying, though relatively new to him, was more tempting. Going first was even better. Get it out of the way and rest ‘til the challenge was over instead of getting worked up over having to wait for slow pokes.

Cameron was more than willing to start now. He had his broom, he was properly attired, and he didn’t want to wait around much longer. They still had some time to plan so he wouldn’t be able to head to the start line right away. He was tempted to shuffle about but the idea of kicking dust around was less appealing than going last. God, this was exasperating. Why did he need to be here? He didn’t care about people, he didn’t need to make friends. No one was going to be useful to him. These school spirit raising challenges were bogus.
