the same boat as age and desire. With each dog we have had there has been a shift in the difficulty of, especially, house breaking. In the beginning we go head first into House Breaking 101. We have no idea what we are doing but are gong-ho and seem to start before we even have the dog home. It's hit and miss. By the time we get to dog 2-4 things seem to float easily by and have lots of newspaper left. Then it happens. All the wonderful tricks we learned, all the wonderful timing turns into mush. We stand there with a look of horror on our faces. What is that pile of brown, smelly stuff? As if we are seeing it for the first time. You sta thdpnd there looking from right to left, left to right. What now? I can't do this. Who wanted a puppy in the first place? By now your energy level matches that of the Sloth at your local Zoo and your patience, well, there just isn't any. One tiny, little marble sized ball of poop sets off this blood curdling scream. Gone. No more energy, No more patience. No more dogs? Never, gotta have my dog.
