Don't feel terrible. Don't feel sorry.

I don't want that. I am sorry it ended up in the Post Office abyss. I really don't want what I assume to be a kind and thoughtful gift to bring upset into your life.

Was it small enough to be blown away? We have a wackadoodle postman. If it's remotely small enough, he would cram it into the mailbox so that he doesn't have to walk to the porch. If he sets it on the porch, he could have set it anywhere. (I just now checked the porch again and it's not there. Tomorrow, I'll check the yard, but I don't have the warm and fuzzies about that. Last week, we had wind gusts approaching 60 mph. We've also had snow 3 times in the last couple of weeks.) Once he rubber banded a box to the flag of the mailbox. Once a package was supposedly delivered according to the tracking number and it showed up a few days later.

Of course, I believe that the only receipt you can't find is the one you need. Murphy's Law is truly diabolical.

And I didn't find anything. If the wind took it, it could be miles away by now. We have woods in and around our subdivision, so it could be sitting out there with the bears and deer. The mailman... more
