am the ER secretary, but I still get to be right in the middle of things and am getting to the know doctors and PAs better because I sit with them. I really miss the nursing part, but I still have to use my critical thinking skills when I arrange ambulance pickup for patients so that I order trucks with the appropriate equipment and such, when ordering beds for patient placement, and when codes or strokes come in, being a nurse is helpful because I know who to call to come to the bedside, etc. I am very happy to be back at it. I told my PT today that my goal was to be back to full duty in 1 month and she said that is possible if I continue to work really hard on my exercises.

Thanks for asking! I feel so much more hopeful than I did a month ago. Recovery from the surgery has been harder than I imagined and I became pretty depressed and down for awhile.
