dipped in chocolate. I have never had one, but they look interesting. I found out tonight that Anna does like grilled chicken and hash brown potatoes and does not like corn. She loves zucchini bread! She likes to take her lunch to school so I asked if she would like to take some of the bread and she said, "Oh yes!"

She loves Nutella and crunchy peanut butter. She said peanut butter is expensive in Germany so they don't buy much of it. We are slowly learning about each other. I am trying to remember not to bend over backwards or smother her. We just want to her be happy and since she got off to such a rough start at the first host family's home, I worry but she seems happy. She organized her room and bathroom last night and did her laundry tonight so she looks to be setting in. I keep reminding myself of your words.

She is so good with Seth. I was pleasantly surprised about that because I'm sure she does not have children as severely affected as Seth in her school. I'm sure I'm boring you to death with all the details!

As you mentioned about your friend's daughter, Anna says her mom has been very worried about her and the situation she was in before. We are going to Skype with her mom this weekend, but Anna says her mom is less worried because Anna is happy here. It must be very hard not knowing who your daughter is living with and knowing nothing about the family.

Thanks, Vera for talking with me about our student!

no idea what it is. yes, take her to Costco. She will be in awww about the package sizes. Anna's story sounds very similar to my friend's daughter. She had a similar experience as exchange student.... more
