Here are some of the observations of my two GD from different breeders. They were both extremely easy to house train, neither were destructive, both have always been great with children and people of all ages, they were 2 yrs and the other 9 months when our first grandchild was born. They both have always been on the medium energy side of the spectrum, as young doodles I took them to the park for a good walk and played ball, they would play together in the house but, they easily adapted to my schedule. They both like humans more than dogs and would much rather spend time with people than dogs at the park. Reagan's mother was a poodle and she seems to have more of a poodle personality, a bit aloof, not so needy, the princess! Palmer's mom was a golden, he is a total lap dog, wants to be loved and cuddled all the time. Both follow me all around the house, sleep either at the foot of the bed or on the bed if hubby is gone. Reagan excelled as a therapy dog, loved her visits to the nursing home, and will go and lay near any baby either in a crib, on the floor as they play or whoever is holding the baby. Palmer would have been great as a therapy dog too, but I started traveling weekly to NV. a few months after I got him. They both are very attentive to my mom when she visits, they go lay in her room if she is napping, sit by her chair, come for petting to her chair. I think I have been very spoiled with how easy and laid back my doodles have been. Good Luck!

IMHO. Each pup differs from each other more than they differ between labradoodles and golden doodles. You can ask the breeder for characteristics - outgoing, shy, energetic, laid back, - but the... more

No idea if they are different from golden doodles, but they are both very different in skills and personality from each other. So I'd say, no matter which you get, the personality will likely be... more
