Which will be never, lol. When Georges tackles a project, I know it is going to be big and he will go all out. We live on sand so there is no way an unlined pond would ever stay filled, and the way he built it he didn't have to dig quite as deep. Whatever he dug out became the walls. The liner is very thick, he doesn't seem worried about punctures.
This pond is in back yard we had fenced last year. So glad there is a gate though. The first few nights we had the pond Kala had to go out a few times in the middle of the night, so unlike her. We thought she was sick lol. Then I saw how much water she drinks, gate closes after dinner!
When you come pick up your puppy, Chinook can come play in the pond! We'll even put rocks in for him,
I don't think you can actually call it swimming, more like splashing. But Kala absolutely loves the pond the DH built this summer. First she has to run around the outside of the pond a few times,... more
have had in a long time. Just watching Her romp and gallop 'round, and 'round, and 'round tireless kept that smile painted right in my face. You can see the love for the water right away. I just love ... more
but she does tend to prefer counter clockwise. Sometimes she will just go up and down one side, other times all around in one direction. She is a very strange doodle.
others on the Zoo are bored with this refrain but this is what Remy does when she gets near water. She loves the splash the water makes. What I love is Kala going around and around...quite the... more
I still can't believe how similar these two are. Kala is so pooped by the end of the day after her hopping around in the water. Good thing she takes a break from swimming to play ball, lol. Why can't ... more
Saw this on FB. I am so impressed with Georges handiwork. sorry about composition, I haven't been able to log on with my laptop so I am using DH iPad and can't figure out the punctuation!!!
Thanks Marcia. Anne-Marie +Isha +Kala,Mon Aug 20 10:32am
I still have trouble with the zoo on the computer, the only thing that seems to work is to close down Safari and start it up again and then I can see the posts. Or use iPad.
cute and funny. I kept waiting for the hop to turn into something else. DH did a great job - Maci wants to know if you guys will come here so he can build her one. Funny story, since I live in a... more
She just hops around in there forever, it doesn't turn into anything, just a hop. What a nutbar. Kala still has her blue kiddie pool in the front yard. She loves that thing, she just lounges around... more
I didn't realize it had a lining! I was picturing a swampy mud pit, to be honest, when you told me how big/deep it was. Wow, liner is expensive -isn't Georges worried about the dogs' nails puncturing ... more

built the pond. Two, Kala is def Olympic material. She looks like she's doing a "doodle butterfly" that Michael Phelps would envy. Three, Kaz would love to join in and play in your pond. Four,... more
He is happy to be declared the best doodle dad in the world! He does love his doodles. He called three times the first day he was away to see if they were ok without him, lol. I asked him if he was... more
where she learned to do this but does it everytime she is in water. No actual swimming for her, just her hop. Your girls should come over for a swim! I miss my sweet Yarra!
water but she is more of a swimmer than a wader. She will launch herself into the pond, but then she comes right out. I will try to get a video of her jumping in.
but that pool is about the size of our grass area in our small yard. I would definately say that your doodles have paradise for a back yard... huge running area, pool and sock trees!
It really looks like he built it just the right size to fit her! I love how she only uses the perimeter and doesn't cut across the center of the pool. It looks like she is trying to catch the splash... more
and we had a pond, lol. He likes having projects, especially if they are for his doodles. He did build it to Kala's height. She avoids the middle because it is deeper and she can't reach the bottom... more
some other purpose! No wonder it's the perfect size for Kala! I'm sure your DH is totally pleased with how much Kala enjoys it - great to see all his hard work so appreciated.
to doing the butterfly. That's quite a good exercise. I love the sound of water is the background. It makes me want to go find a pool to jump into. Nice pond.
