It's interesting that you see it from that perspective. I feel that so often it is the children who are bullied by the teachers. Afterall, if a kid has a grievance with a teacher- who will listen? Principals always defend their staff and if you complain, it usually makes life worse for the student. Besides, teachers who are incompetent can hide behind their tenure and safely get away with abyssmal teaching. Many teachers also have a political bias, in the humanities, if you don't agree with their views they will downgrade your work and bully you.
