I don't know if people who might post on this chat board could speak for what different rescue organizations might do. It might be a good idea to actually call some in your area and describe the dog's background and behavior and see what they say. It may depend on what the bite was. Did it break the skin, draw blood? Was it just a superficial injury, or a deeper puncture?

For home management, have you considered getting a basket muzzle as a further safety measure?
