The BC Wildlife Federation is hosting a variety of free courses over the coming month in Cheam Lake and North Vancouver. They are running a Wetlandkeepers workshop and an Invasive Species Control Workbee on separate days at Cheam Lake, and a Map our Marshes workshop in North Vancouver.

The courses aim to teach local residents environmental stewardship skills. The courses are free of charge, as a result of generous contributions from funders.

Courses are suitable to anyone from high school students to adults and are designed as citizen science tools to empower everyday people in conservation activities. People who have benefited from our courses include consultants, planners, environmental/conservation groups, government and First Nations representatives, engaged community members and keen outdoors-types.
