We were a two min. schnauzer family till 9-1-11, when our Bennie lost his battle to cancer. He was 12 - our other min. schnauzer is 11. We were looking at Smeraglia for awhile and were going to wait......but my husband & I looked at each other and said, "Life is short."
Bennie can never be replaced - each dog has their own individuality. Our Charlie (schnoodle - Ebony/Jake) came into our hearts on 9/23/12. We are so happy that we did not wait. He has filled a new spot in our hearts with love. It has been a great joy and we are enjoying springtime enormously right now.
We still grieve our Bennie and that won't change but it is refreshing to keep the love growing. Don't wait - make plans now! It's OK. What is exciting is sometimes seeing abit of Bennie in Charlie - it's a warm reminder that life doesn't end - only changes.
