Hi,

We have an F1B, Barney. His mom was a full golden and dad a golden doodle so technically he is 67% golden retriever. He looks exactly like a golden retriever but is only 50 lbs, even though both his parents were bigger. He does shed- a lot of hair on the floor but not the type of shedding that rubs off on your clothes or is all over our hands when we pet him. But, I vacuum just about every day.

With that said, we chose Barney from his video because he did look so much like a golden so we were never misled or surprised with the shedding. I believe it when Sherri says the straighter the hair, the more likely the shedding.

And, he is just the best dog in the world- and so much fun! Wouldn't trade him for anything...

      Wanted to add that, as far as retriever qualities being lost in the 75% poodle - f1b - some might be lost. I see evidence of the spunky, energetic poodle in Tally, but mostly her alert intelligence... more
