Hi! Our puppy Lola is an F1B and she is a doll. No shedding. If I brush her, she does have some hair in the brush but on a daily basis, no hair to really speak of. I have noticed a few if I'm holding her and wearing a black shirt but for the most part, no shedding. No hair in the house. No hair in her crate. Our kids have allergies so it was important. We have had two golden retrievers in the past, so I'm familiar with the golden retriever personality. I think Lola is a lot like our goldens in personality. She is very sweet and loyal and fun! Whenever I'm looking about for her, she is right at my feet. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She has that golden attitude of "okay, whatever you want!!" I think truly, when you are choosing your puppy, the most important thing is to look for the temperament you are looking for....not which face is cute or blocky on the website. Carol was invaluable in helping us determine which dog met our puppy dreams. You probably can't go wrong with an F1 or an F1B. I'm sure the staff at Smeraglia can point you towards the right pup. Good luck!

Wanted to add that, as far as retriever qualities being lost in the 75% poodle - f1b - some might be lost. I see evidence of the spunky, energetic poodle in Tally, but mostly her alert intelligence... more
