Hi,

We have Barney who is now 1 1/2 years old. I did a lot of research on food and particularly how to combat any skin allergy and weight issues as it seems more and more dogs (not just doodles) were prone to skin problems from today's dog food. After reading about it on line and reading what people on this forum had to say, as a puppy we put Barney on Honest Kitchen which is a raw, dehydrated food that you hydrate with warm water. He loves it and has no skin, poop or weight issues. His coat is beautiful and he is slim and trim. It is a bit expensive but one look at the ingredients compared to the other dried dog foods (even the most natural and highest rated)and we understand why. We think the avoidance of vet bills from potential gastro or skin issues makes up for the cost difference!
