30 lb Traditional Doodle?
Tue Jul 24, 2012 17:33

Hi all,

I got my beloved Jenna puppy from Hailey (55 lbs) and Arthur's (75 lbs) May 5 litter. In a few days she'll be 3 months old. She's not quite 10 lbs yet. According to a popular rough formula, adult weight is:

AT THE AGE OF 2 MONTHS: MULTIPLY THE WEIGHT BY 4
AT THE AGE OF 3 MONTHS: MULTIPLY THE WEIGHT BY 3
AT THE AGE OF 4 MONTHS: MULTIPLY THE WEIGHT BY 2

That would put my Jenna at 30 lbs as an adult. Has anyone got a traditional that small? Unfortunately I got her partly as a hiking companion, and she's still having trouble with the two steps from my patio to my house (really short legs). I'm just feeling a bit concerned. Any reassurance or input out there?

Thanks!
Cindy
