Smeraglia's Doodle Forum - Schnoodle coat

Hi Smeraglia's! I am writing to ask why Olli, our orange dot toy schnoodle delivered end of April, is SHEDDING? We have allergies, not to mention dark floors and navy blue orientals, and this darling dog is shedding all over everything! Is this seasonal? Is it a coat change/maturing? Olli is not a 'teddy bear' faced boy like his littermates, and we all think he is heavily loaded with the Schnauzer genes. Could this be a Schnauzer shedding trait?

My husband is calling me a liar.

Olli is practically perfect in every (other) way.

Hi Karen, I have two schnoodles and a schnauzer, all of which started losing their puppy coats around the 4-6 month mark. As adults, there is still some loose hair caught in the comb each time I comb ... more
