Well boys....

...I'm getting older, and the fact of the matter is, I'm just too fat and too old to hunt the Snake River canyons anymore. I am researching various options for flatter, more old coot-friendly terrain (particularly near farmland). I am currently looking into some possibilities up in the Odessa area, but don't have any firm leads there (yet). I am going to keep hunting, but the up and down of the Snake River is more than my knees can handle at this point.

The ranch formerly known as Clover Creek, down near Madras, OR, is now under new ownership (i.e. the jerk is long gone). From what I understand, the new owners are running the ranch much like Clark and Nancy did, and are good people. I am going to look into things, and am thinking about doing a spring hunt down there sometime in the March-April timeframe. Prices aren't cheap, but it is an opportunity to hunt in the spring. If anybody is interested, let me know.
