Who was it who chose their partner in the first place???

Cora was puzzled as Alannah insulted her. Cora's hair was, as always, in a braid pulled tightly to the back of her head. Surely it couldn't be that bad. Cora swiveled around to check her reflection in the reflective window of the nearest storefront. Just as she had suspected-- the wind had whipped some of the shorter strands from their constraints, but for the most part, her hair was looking neat and tidy.

"You really couldn't come up with a better insult?" Cora asked the other girl. She then mentally winced, she didn't really want to get into a fight or have Alannah insult her any more than she had already done. But if it came to that, Cora could deliver and dish out insults better than Alannah could... she just hoped it wouldn't get to that.

It was funny how different Alannah and Cora's friend Brielle were. They may have both been Irish.. but only one of them exemplified the nice and friendly stereotype. And it most certainly wasn't Alannah.

"Come on, can we please get this over with?" Asked Cora, "Look. There's a woman with a dog right there. Let's take the picture and go."

"Oh yeah," she continued, "may I remind you that you were the one who chose me as a partner, not the other way around?"

Cora stared dead into the other girl's face, grinned and winked, flipped her braid over her shoulder and flounced off, just waiting for Alannah's retort.. and hopefully her cooperation, if only for a few hours.
