Bailey Shepard
This here's a setup! [Estelle, Liam]

After a bit of poking her nose around in places it probably did not belong, Bailey decided she ought to make an attempt for some of her coworkers. Estelle Blair, Cultural Studies professor, had quickly become one of her close friends, and she picked up hints that her friend was feeling a bit lonely. (Or perhaps it was only Bailey’s own relationship bliss that provided such an idea.) Liam West, Foretelling Arts professor, was someone she had spoken to minimally in the past but seemed, in her opinion, a fine gentleman who was also noticeably single.

Now, the blonde had never played matchmaker before, but she had been on the receiving end of half a dozen attempts. Her brothers had routinely brought over friends of theirs that were evidently more acceptable candidates for her affection than people she could find herself, and even her father had once tried to set her up with the equipment manager of his team. These attempts had almost always failed miserably, but of course, one successful pairing by Kris de los Santos had resulted in her relationship with her now-fiancé. With that record alone, she figured trying something couldn’t hurt.

It was a Friday afternoon that both Liam and Estelle would receive letters from Bailey. In both letters, the receiver was asked to please come to her office at 7:00 that night. Estelle’s, being a closer friend, was worded in a friend-to-friend way, but Liam’s was worded more like DH-to-Professor. Given that she was not close to the elective professor, she thought a casual request would be more likely to be ignored or thought suspicious.

Of course, it was there that her attempt not to be suspicious ended. She knew that Estelle had a tendency to be prompt, so while the Quidditch Coach did not know what Liam’s tendencies were, she expected her to arrive first. Estelle would find her door closed but unlocked, and inside, there would be a table set up with two plates of lobster dinner.

Everything prepared, Bailey glanced at the clock: 6:45. She quickly lit the candles and charmed a small scrap of parchment before quickly exiting. The parchment would fly into Estelle’s hand as soon as it detected that she was past the doorway, and it read in neat, purple ink:

Yell at me later. For now, just enjoy.
