Headmistress Elizabeth Guinevere Warren
Contemplating turning that "meeting" into a "beheading"

Elizabeth Guinevere Warren raised one eyebrow as her Deputy Head waltzed into her office without so much as a word of permission. She wasn't surprised. Elizabeth Guinevere had made the appointment, after all - and that was excluding the...measures...she'd put into place in order to ensure no surprise visitors to her office. Those measures had involved a bit of nasty tampering with a few of the commonroom spells in order to reroute errant children to the Medic's office, where they could be given the appropriate lectures and wrist-smacking without the Headmistress's involvement. The woman had no idea what had ever inspired a Head to air-drop children into their office at any hour of the day. Or, more likely, the night Elizabeth Guinevere had thought at the time.

As usual, the woman looked impeccable in her tailored robes. She couldn't say the same for Emilian de Villiers, however. The Headmistress made her disdain for his mixing of browns and blacks clear with her glance as she gestured at her ill-mannered Deputy Head to seat himself. With its name-branded lack of class, the man's outfit couldn't have shouted Emilian's wealth any louder if she had given it a bullhorn and perched it on the gold-topped dome of Colorado's capital building.

"Good afternoon, Emilian," Elizabeth Guinevere responded, shifting the parchment on her desk purely for the visual effect of doing so.

She enjoyed having Emilian de Villiers as her Deputy Headmaster. Although he'd been flashing his wealth about more than usual lately, the man usually managed a pass at culture, which was more than could be said of her previous deputy. Bailey Richards was - well, not that EG had put much purchase in the propaganda spread by WAIL, but it had been a shock to see the Quidditch coach take a man's last name. Overall, the woman had been ill-suited to the position of Deputy Headmistress to Elizabeth Guinevere Warren's Headmistress. How Ms. Richards had worked with the man EG had replaced was something the Headmistress didn't really care to cogitate on.

More importantly, Elizabeth Guinevere thought dryly, as she put her quill pen to the bottle of navy ink (only a few shades darker than her eyes) and began to write, Emilian is interesting enough to blackmail.

That was something EG valued in a man.

"Have you ever thought, Emilian," the Headmistress said, pausing in her writing, "that we spend far too much money on student activities that far too many students appear disinterested in?"
