Jesse Ramos

Jesse Ramos did not like study hall, he found it a waste of time for someone like him. Sure, he had homework to do but he would rather spend the time now cleaning his broom, reading broom, Quidditch, Quodpot, or even Broom racing magazines. He could sit in the large study area but he figured Miss Harlesdon would frown on the third year wasting her study hall to read “free time” magazines. He could protest that the magazines were helping his English, and English was not his first language. The fact that he had grown up speaking English and Spanish the librarian did not have to know.

The Brown haired boy trotted to the back furthest booth, which had the archery target set up in it and he sat with his back to the booth. He pulled out his Quodpot magazine and began to read. He figured it would take the librarian some time to find him tucked back here, plus if she did find him he could say he was waiting for it to be opened. That is if someone started using the booth soon.

He flipped through some ads, one of them for the new Jesito 2.0 from Ramos brooms. Jesse and Mikey both had new ones since the start of term and they loved them. Jesse briefly thought about grabbing Mikey and heading to the Pitch. Mikey wasn’t great at Quidditch but Jesse didn’t want to hassle his best friend but this year they were going to the finals and the Cuban boy could just say that he wanted Mikey to help him practice.

As he read about the new Cuban player he heard someone and start using the booth. He wasn’t sure what the other person was trying to do but it seemed like it wasn’t going so well. “Oi!” he said poking his head around the booth, “What are you trying to do?”
