The sight of the large lizard perched on the desk made Zakir’s lips twitch up slightly. He found the quiet lizard to be a rather interesting pet, much better than cats or other loud obnoxious creatures. Mostly the great lizard slept, which was a good quality for a pet to have, in Zakir’s opinion.
Taking his seat Zakir opened his leather bound note book. Light chocolate colored eyes scanned over his notes for a long time, but still couldn’t find a way around the balance issue. It would need a lot more research Zakir decided, and he didn’t have the books needed at the moment. He’d spend a few hours in the library over the weekend trying to solve the problem, instead of attempting to work on it now. As he’d learned from prior study hall adventures, rarely any work got done, no matter how hard he tried to focus.
A mini bagel, napkin and plastic butter knife appeared in front of him. A glance at the container revealed it to be strawberry jam. Before dealing with the snack Zakir got up and accepted one of the extra credit worksheets. Even though his grade in Magical Sciences was quite high, Zakir didn’t mind doing extra credit work. That was simply more knowledge for him to have, and Zakir wasn’t going to turn that down.
Returning to his seat Zakir looked at his neighbor. “I have jam, would you like to trade?” He asked, hoping that the other student would have cream cheese, as he would prefer over jam.
