Study hall. The very title caused her blood to boil. Honestly, what was the point of it all? The blonde was a genius already, especially compared to all of her classmates. These slobbery, disgusting beings weren’t worth as much as her tooth brush, and she had more talent in her pinky toe than any of them had in his entire body.
Alexandra didn’t know why she had to go to these stupid study halls. Did the faculty of RMI not appreciate her brilliance? Imbeciles, the lot of them, especially that Headmaster Morgan fellow. She didn’t like him one bit.
Firstly, he had dared take on Guido’s position. The twelve year old loathed both men, but Guido had a special place in her heart burning ball of hatred mind; it was her right to destroy him, but he was gone now, perpetually not-destroyed by her.
Merlin, it seemed the whole school was out to get her. Even her idiot head of house seemed different this year, perhaps a bit more intelligent. That could be a problem. Perhaps one day she’d need to destroy him as well, just as she had to destroy everyone else who was unworthy of living.
Most of the people she met were on her hit list. One day when she was even more powerful, oh, they’d see. They would all get what they deserved for putting her down, for not noticing her supremacy and appointing her their sworn leader.
That was all for another day, however, when she was bigger. For now, she had to be content with ripping into Annalise Hier and the other insolent inferiors who tried to mess up her life. Her plan of manipulation with Ika Blackburn was going off without a hitch every day. It was a safe guess that the younger girl admired her, and why wouldn’t she? She was Alexandra, and Alexandra was perfect.
Knights were, by design, perfection. A few weren’t, but those weren’t real Knights. The red-haired imbecile was gone, disowned, and, as far as the second year was concerned, dead. Her unwanted younger sister was on her way out, too. Once she was old enough to defend herself (because watching the soft girl be torn apart by the outside world with no way to defend herself would be boring), she would be gone, disowned, and “dead”. All of the pollutants would be removed; her father had promised.
Alexandra sat in the Merlin-forsaken study hall, the waste of time it was, just glaring at the brainless Magical Sciences (which isn’t even a real class!) professor’s witless, sleeping iguana. If looks could kill, the green beast’s chest would have stopped rising and falling. The tears in Professor Rosse’s eyes would have been priceless.
Someone next to her interrupted her subtle glaring, asking or stating something. She wasn’t sure what. Because she had to assume the best (even though most of RMI was the worst), the Lyra smiled politely as she turned to face the source of the voice, “Most sincere apologies.” They were nothing of the kind. “Would you please repeat that?”
