Niccoló's beam, if possible, turned even brighter. 'She's a wonderful fantastic person.' Though he had never before thought much of Lyra House (filled with theater people mostly and Niccoló had been raised to appreciate the performing arts as something common folk did to impress and entertain those superior to them) Niccoló now respected the inhabitants just a little more. They weren't as troublesome as Aquilas, nor as boring as Ceti. If it was a house that contained both Zakir and Alexandra then it was nearly equal to Draco. "That's true. They're all good houses." He continued to alternate between beams and smiles, lips curving happily as she talked, her own mouth moving and sending words and sounds to him. He didn't really register the meanings at first, simply gazing at her. 'Will her sister be as kind? As fantastic? Maybe... but Inigo isn't as great as I am. Neither is Marcos. Is it that only one amazing person can exist between siblings? Am I the only amazing York, and she before me is the only amazing Knight?' He sighed despondently within his mind. 'At least we'll be siblings one day.' He perked up once more. 'She'll be so cool to have as a sister!'
Alexandra stopped talking for a moment and quickly Niccoló murmured an "Uh huh, yeah." before they moved on. He didn't really know of the Espinozas but it sounded Spanish so he was probably related to them through distant cousins on his mother's side. The Errantez were an old family and through marriage were related to probably all of pureblood Spain. They moved onto Amelia, and a sudden real warmth spread through Niccoló's body at her assurances that Amelia would like him. Adore him. 'Does that mean that you adore me?' He wanted to ask her, his dark brown eyes widening, chest swelling with happiness. "You can call me Niccoló, in the future, if you want." His voice, which had been bright and excitable, though nevertheless retaining its formal training, was now softer, almost shy. "Whatever you're most comfortable with, I don't mind. And... and, maybe, if you ever want to, you can call me Brother or something." He paused, unsure about his own offer. They really didn't know each other at all, and maybe that sort of offer crossed a line, crossed a boundary, he wasn't sure. This wasn't a lesson he was ever taught (How To Interact Normally With Unknown Fiance's Awesome Sister).
"I just feel strangely comfortable around you, Miss Knight. If your sister is anything like you then it is I that should be very fortunate." He averted his gaze a little, a strange heat continuing to grow, and he was randomly reminded of that kiss he'd shared with Haven. "Er - anyway," He searched desperately for a topic besides Amelia. Surely they had other things to talk about? Less dangerous things. "Have you any plans for the summer coming up? My family is probably going to Belize, but then we'll spend the remainder at our home in Knight's Grove." A well known collective of mansions in England, with a small town occupying it. Edward had inherited the actual Knight's Grove Mansion which was placed in the center of the area. The Yorks from centuries ago had once ruled the collective as a sort of informal ministry but now that Wizard England was politically united there was no need for informal scattered governments. And many Yorks were in ministry or conservative media so they were known for powerful political influence.
