Professor Gaston Munro had been at RMI for five years, most of the time he had been just a Quidditch Coach, until last term when he became the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts. He had been made head of Draco during the last five terms, so it came as no surprise to his beloved wife Jennie when Gaston took on even more duties at the school. Gaston had become the adviser to Student Government Association and he had spent the first few weeks of term getting children to sign up, and to vote but tonight was the first meeting of the SGA and Gaston was excited.
The meeting was set up in the spare room of the Reference center where Study Halls had been held the last few terms. Gaston had asked the house elves to serve appetizers and drinks for the night. Gaston sat on top of the desk, as the children began to file in. One child from each year, except the seventh since they had a seventh year rep and and a president, although sixth years could have run.
Once all eight children were seated with snacks and drink Gaston clapped his hands. “Welcome, welcome guys!” he said happily. “Congrats on being picked as your year reps, some of you had tough races, and others of you did not.” he leveled his gaze at his favorite beaters at RMI, Rosetta Blackburn who had been the only sixth year to sign up.
“So as members of the SGA you are held to a higher esteem. You guys will be in charge of punishments from time to time when we meet. You guys will be in charge of fundraising, and activities. I am here not to run your meetings, but to be the voice of reason or to help logistically whenever needed. So I’m going to turn this meeting over to your President, Anders Hudson!” with that Gaston took a seat in the back of the room.
Anders rose from his spot next to his girlfriend and walked to where the Professor had been standing. Gaston and Anders hadn’t spoken before a few nights ago, Anders not being a Quidditch player, nor taking Defense Against the Darks arts, and all. But the Professor had hunted him down to speak to him about how the meeting should be run.
The blonde brushed his shaggy hair out of his face and smiled at the group around him. “Hey guys, lets get down to business. We have no punishments to dole out today so that’s good.” he paused and looked down at his list. “We have to figure out a fundraiser and activity for the fall semester.”
“So how about we just throw ideas out and I’ll put them up on the board? I’ll give us about twenty minutes to brainstorm and throw ideas out. After that we’ll vote!” Anders already had an idea for the activity so he wrote out luau - activity on the board.
(OOC: Alright guys you can godmod with Anders a bit, say he put something on the board. If you want him to do something specific please come into Chatzy and ask. 200 word minimum please!)
