Zakir’s dark mood at having his routine altered darkened further when he saw the grinning mudblood. Somehow he’d managed to avoid the always smiling boy last term, but apparently this term he wouldn’t be so lucky. There was something about the Cetus that set Zakir on edge, it was the smile. That fox like grin that had been turned on him during Aerin’s foolish group meeting. It was a devious smile, one that should have had feathers accompanying it. The thought wasn’t a comforting one. Just go away, we are not friends, just leave me in peace Zakir thought as he gave the ever smiling boy a fierce glare.

“Hey short spokes, what’s up?” The words were all familiar, well mostly all of them. Zakir wasn’t sure what a spokes was but the order of them made no sense. Hay? They were in a library for Merlin’s sake, not even the Pitch had hay. Short was clearly in reference to his lack of height, what did he mean up? Against his will Zakir glanced up. As he’d suspected there was nothing out of the ordinary above him. He turned his annoyed gaze back to the irritating mudblood.

“There is nothing up there.” He said flatly just as the other boy popped something in his mouth. The light scent of lemon met his nose and Zakir’s scowl deepened. Where did the mudblood get a lemon drop? It looked like the fool had no intention of leaving, and even though Zakir still wasn’t sure what a spokes was he had a feeling it was in reference to him, perhaps one of those knick name things that Aerin always went on about?

“My name is Zakir Adir and I am the son of Miano Adir.” He said sharply.
