Danielle didn't quite know why she was here in the first place. Not here as in just Study Hall, but here as in school. She'd liked it at first but now she just plain hated the place. All they did was work and study and more work. Danielle hadn't expected this much; Josh had told her all these wonderful stories about wizarding school over the first two Summers after he started coming. If it had been so wonderful for him, it should be even better for her since she was a Pureblood and actually belonged here, right? Wrong. Not once had Joshua mentioned work. Or perhaps she'd just zoned out when he'd spoken the word.
Either way, she disliked school very much and wished that term was as fun and short as Orientation. Her life would be much easier then. She sighed and began thinking about Orientation while the others filed in. Her tent mate had been alright and she'd like to talk to her again but Dani truly missed Logan. Perhaps it was the fact that she had prematurely deemed him her best friend. Or because she'd gained a kiddie type of attraction on him since their meeting. Her Herbology and Cultural Studies books were filled with doodles of either them together or his name and hers. She didn't take it seriously though. They were too young to have feelings for one another and this would probably pass soon enough. Which was why she planned to enjoy it until it did.
Dani slouched in her chair and rolled her eyes when the Librarian began talking. Out of all of her teachers, this one was most annoying. Why couldn't they have that cool guy that Josh had bragged about in during either 1st or 2nd year? She had only been going to school here for a few months, but there was every possibility that RMI was going to the dogs. After the woman mentioned leaving the room, all Dani could do was thank Merlin. This Toladaeri chick seemed, if possible, even more of a lunatic today. Dani piped up and sat up straight in her chair, glad that she hadn't been given a glance. Being an 'innocent' first year had its perks.
When the Librarian sat down and started blowing bubbles, Dani got the sign that she should leave now. As she stood, a voice said, "Hey. Wanna get out of here?" "You read my mind," Dani said, nodding. She straightened out her skirt under her robes and smiled at the boy. Her hair flowed down her back as she yawned and covered her mouth, waiting for him.
