The seventh year didn't bear any feelings of ill will towards Anders Hudson for being nominated as SGA president. Anthony had been representative for 2 years now, anyway, and he was already helping out Professor Munro in DADA, as well as taking an extra class this year. Besides, Anders was probably easier for the rest of the student body to talk to - he seemed more approachable somehow.

Looking round the meeting room, Anthony knew, or at least recognized, around half of the other student reps; the older half, naturally. He didn't have much to do with the younger years unless they'd previously been heavily involved with theater, and as there had been a talent show last year then interaction had been yet more limited than usual. On the one hand, it was comforting to know that each representative had been elected by his or her peers, and therefore ought to be reasonably responsible... but on the other hand, Rosetta Blackburn was rperesenting the sixth years, and while Anthony had no personal qualms against her, he definitely wouldn't have listed 'responsible' as one of her most outstanding qualities.

Listening as first professor Munro and then Anders took charge of the meeting, it became clear that, for now, at least, all that was required of the reps was to assist in thinking up some ideas for fundraising activities. One of the younger students piped up with a suggestion while Anthony contemplated his own preferences on the matter. "Maybe some sort of team quiz," he suggested at a suitable moment. That way the team members could get others to sponsor them, perhaps, drawing on funds of families not already involved in the school. Throwing forth fistfulls of money at every given fundraising opportunity had never been a problem for the Havelocks, but Anthony was well aware that there were many students at the school in financial situations quite different to his own. It would be good if they could get everyone involved in some way, without drawing attention to the economic divide.
