Riley Finn had a full schedule and he knew it. Monday through Friday the sixteen year old was up at the ungodly hour of four am, even though his first class wasn’t until nine am. After a quick shower he went to the Finer Diner and ate a healthy but hearty breakfast. Then he was off to exercise, he would either swim in the Rec Center or run around the empty classroom halls.

By six am, when he was allowed to Riley left RMI. Pearl Street was nearly empty, just a few people scurrying by to get to work on time. He would duck into a small dance studio. Here, he was taking private lessons from Gabby, the woman he had been taking dance classes from since his third year. He was paying for them by teaching beginner classes on the weekend. Gabby had been more than thrilled to help out the sixth year for his college auditions.

At eight am he left the dance studio to return to RMI. He would finish up whatever Spellwork or Cultural Studies homework he had to do in his dorm, while other students were just waking for the day. Depending on the day he either started classes with Spellwork or Cultural Studies. Riley loved Spellwork but barely tolerated Cultural Studies especially when Purebloods were brought up. All (most) Purebloods did was spread hate.

After his nine am class it was time for brunch. He often ate alone as most students were still in classes. He didn’t have another class until one so the sixth year would return to his dorm room, do his homework, write letters home, and nap until fifteen to one.

Once again depending on the day one pm to four pm he was either in Potions or Herbology, both classes he enjoyed. On Potions days he was stuck attending Cultural Studies from four to five pm and he especially hated the class on those days. Herbology days he was able to be done with classes by five and join the younger students for dinner.

Yet, his day still wasn’t done. Most days Riley either had Quidditch practice or rehearsals and sometimes he would pick up a shift at the Diner he worked with Addi. The Lyra Quidditch team met two times a week unless it was a game week then it was three. practice always ran from six thirty to nine, always. The Lyra would trudge back to the commons between nine and nine thirty, exhausted but he would force himself to do some homework. Though, he was always out by ten thirty.

As one could imagine this schedule left very little time for socializing, but it also left very little time for lamenting his lack of a boyfriend. So, when he walked into the Rec Center he was pleasantly surprised to see Zakri in the pool. Riley, had never seen anyone up at this time and he was glad it was someone he actually liked.
Riley briefly wondered if Zakir still used his room as a safe haven. Riley was hardly ever there so it wouldn’t surprise him in the least.

He had planned on swimming laps this morning but he figured a chat with his sort of friend was in store instead. He pulled off his white t-shirt, exposing his flat stomach and the faint lines of this abs and walked to the edge of the pool wearing a black pair of swim trunks. “Morning.” He said as he slipped into the warm water of the pool. “Sleep well?”

The sixteen year old dipped his head back wetting his hair and he smiled at the other boy, wondering why Zakir was still wearing a t-shirt in the pool. The whole idea of a pool was to be half naked, but Riley let it slip as he waited for the other boy to respond.
