Professor E. de Villiers
Come and get eaten! (1-3rd years)
Fri Jan 3, 2014 16:03

Emilian de Villers sat at his desk running his hand down his left arm sighing. The scar Dru, had given him seemed to be burning his arm today. Damn that girl, good thing she was long dead, buried and rotting in the ground. She deserved so much more than the quick death, and one day her whole family would pay for the pain Emilian now suffered. He watched as his students entered the room through hooded eyes.

The door slammed shut with a flick of his wand at 10:58 am not caring that students still had time to get to the eleven am class. Anyone locked out would have their name written upon a charmed piece of paper which would announce when the student would serve their detention. The students would still be able to enter, but Emilian dared any of them to disrupt him this morning.

He lifted up a cage and set it on his desk. Inside was a creature about three feet tall, he had green skin and pointed face. This creature was from his Father’s study but Emilian had borrowed him for this lesson. “This is an Erkling.” He was about to continue when the thing began to cackle in a high pitch. Emilian watched with interest as the some of the weaker willed children under the age of thirteen seem entrapped by the cackle. He had chosen this creature for his younger students so he could see what would happen when they heard the cackle.

The Professor looked at his older students and smiled. “The looks on your younger classmates should be of interest as the Erkling uses that laugh to lure children away from safety. The effects of the Erkling seem to wear off around the last few months of a twelve years old’s life so by the time one is thirteen they are not drawn to the Erkling.”

Emilian paused smiling and Erkling said in a completely normal human child’s voice. “Come play!” at which is laughed. This made some children stand but Emilian spoke again. “As you see they also can speak Human languages. This one can speak English and French. Now why does it laugh and sound like a child? It’s to bring children closer to eat them. Yes, Erklings, eat children.

“So your job today is to keep your classmates away from the Erkling and to uncharm them from the effect of the Erkling. The spell is Purgo, cast it on your young classmates and then help keep others away from the Erkling. When it laughs again they’ll be once again under it’s charm.”

“So stand up!” Once all the students were standing up Emilian waved his wand and the desk were sent to either side of the room. Emilian went and sat by the Erkling, sure he might be playing with the students but he wasn’t about to let one get close enough to the Erkling to actually get harmed.

OOC: All students who are 11 are affected, 12 year olds who aren’t a month or two away from 13 are also affected. None of the 13 year olds are! So work with younger students! Remember all the rules, especially Godmodding and the length requirements! Be creative and use good grammar! If you need any help, tag E! Do not assume that anything goes tragically wrong, for Professor de Villiers will be there to supervise all actions! Have fun!
