Lucy was on Cloud Nine. After seeing the Quidditch team roster, she couldn't help but do nothing but grin. She had made the team, and moreover, she'd been selected as Captain this year! The sheer joy had eradicated everything, if only for a few moments, before the worry set in again. Oh, no. That means that she'd have to train the team well for them to have a good season this year - nothing else would suffice, what with having both Nealson and Edwards on the team, who wouldn't settle for anything less. ...She gulped, as she made her way over the the Quidditch Pitch, her Cleansweep Twelve clenched tightly in her hand.

As she walked, her thoughts passed over to Darla, who hadn't made the team this year - well, not fully anyway. Maybe the fact that she hadn't made the team would be slightly lessened due to the fact that she had got reserve seeker? It had been the position she had wanted, after all. But then, thinking over it, Darla wouldn't have settled for anything less that the best. Not because she was arrogant, but purely because she felt she had more to give. ...Lucy sighed, and rubbed her eyes with her free hand. So much stress and the first match hadn't even started yet!

She'd have to be good. No. She'd have to be better than good, if they were to be a match for the Hippogriffs - one of the toughest teams out there. If she remembered correctly, they'd broken one of her team-mates arms last year. Suddenly she felt a surge of horror sweep through her, and for a moment she felt a little sick. As she went to mount her broom, Lucy spotted another person up there - flying about in what appeared to be a radical and dangerous fashion. She gasped in horror as the young man did several short, sharp dives looking as though he was going to hit the ground.

Eventually, whilst she stood there watching, the young man dived toward the ground and dismounted - throwing his broom to the ground in seeming disgust and whipped his head around to face her. "What?" he snapped, in such an angry tone that Lucy hesitated a little.

"Um, a-are you okay?" she asked, warily but sympathetically. She was trying to help, even if she did sound like an idiot when the words came out of her mouth. The student didn't look very happy, and then - it came to her. He must have been unsuccessful for the team! Suddenly, Lucy felt very guilty, that her presence might only anger him more. She dipped her head, and apologised. "Sorry, I didn't mean to pry. I was only wondering.."

She tailed off helplessly.
