Roaring Fireballs VS Soaring Hippogriffs
Sat Nov 20, 2010 23:20
75.10.133.130

The first game of the year had been put off for some time due to an outbreak of Dragonpocs at two of the schools. Yet it was that time again the crowds had come to cheer on the Roaring Fireballs or their opponents from Pendragon University of Magic the Soaring Hippogriffs. The Soaring Hippogriffers were the Champions of the Falcon Cup three times running. They were known as the roughest, brutal, players in the game and with no qualms of cheating to make it a fourth time with the Falcon Cup.

Alex had prepared his students as best as he could and at their last practice he had hoped he had instilled some confidence into them. They were a good team especially since he had demoted Darla Applerose to a reserve player. Alex hated to demote a senior player who had served as Captain but she had just too much friction with the other players. Lucy had been a good choice as Captain she got along fine with the Purebloods and was able to mix in with the Muggleborns, and Halfbloods.

The day of the game was windy and cold, snow fell from the sky and he prayed to Merlin his kids would cast warming and drying spells upon themselves. Of course Coaches weren’t allowed on the Pitch today they were to sit in the box with the Presidents of the participating Universities. Alex rubbed his hands slowly trying to keep warm as the teams took the field.

The ref in black and white robes made the Captains Lucy Featherwick and Riley Scott shake hands before throwing the Quaffle into the air. With that the game was on!

OOC: Okay guys I want long detailed posts.

Okay, Quidditch game rules for people who haven't played before:
-Seekers, don't catch the snitch unless you get an email from me saying you can.
-Chasers, let the Keepers decide if you made a goal.
-Beaters, let your targets decide if you hit them.
-Keepers, you don't need to make every save; be realistic.
-Beater Victims, you don't need to dodge every bludger; be realistic. Also, no falling off your broom and crashing horrifically into the ground. Falling off your broom is fine. Just not the crashing part. I'm watching. I will use my wand to catch you before you die or are horribly maimed by a sudden impact with the planet. So end any falling posts while you're still in the air.

    • High time to get on the offense. [Hippogriff Chaser]Liana Chapman, Fri Nov 26 17:06
Lee was amazed at how fast the game went. It was just so constant , always flying and ducking other players and smacking Bludgers with as much strength as she could get out of her left hand. She knew ... more
      • ..did you really have to get that offensive?Kerrie Lang, Fri Nov 26 17:57

As Lucy approached Lee, Lucy let out a long string of expletives under her breath. How dare he! Liana was practically hanging off her broom and if she sustained a hit now, she was surely a goner -... more
