Gee, I think we're discouraging them.
Tue Nov 23, 2010 22:33

It was too early in the game to get annoyed. Chris merely gritted his teeth before whipping past Chapman. He'd underestimated her, she did know how to swing a bat. However, he hadn't actually been trying that hard. He doubted she'd be able to protect the next target. 'Women...'

He watched as Nathan got the quaffle, and made a beeline for the Fireball goals. He made a very nice shot, and Chris raised his bat in a cheer when - "Son of a - !" Chris glared as Errant kicked the ball away from the goals and passed to H. Edwards, the chaser Chris had failed in decapitating.

"Well thanks buddy!"

And apparently it was a good thing Chris had failed. H. Edwards was an asset to the Hippogriffs so long as he continued with passes like that. Chris sped up directly underneath the chaser, his beater bat skimming the wood, and shouted, "I can tell it's going to be fun working with ya!" He dropped a little in the air and brought his bat down with a loud WHACK on the younger boy's broom before speeding up to protect Kerrie, laughing as he did.

For a girl, he supposed Kerrie wasn't a bad chaser. Fine looking too, as he often told her. He had also told her to quit the team while she could still find a decent husband to marry (hint hint) but here she was, still playing. As a result, bludgers hardly ever got to her as Chris kept a constant eye out specially for her. In fact, he often grew irritable with Calvin should he ever redirect a ball from her. Kerrie was his responsibility, never mind what she might say.

She passed to another Hippogriff and Chris turned sideways to knock away the bludger heading toward her; catching it in a spin so that while it appeared to be heading towards one Fireball chaser, it was really going to switch direction and hit the other one. Chris grinned in anticipation before giving one last quick glance at Kerrie. "Try to stay out of trouble while I'm gone!" He practically ordered.

Turning his handle around sharply, he motioned for Calvin to cover Fireball end, while Chris went to hunt the seeker.

The blonde Chaser hovered mid-air watching the Quaffle go in. HA! He had scored. Awesome. Hector looked up and down the Keeper in contempt, he was certainly short, which was quite weird. Especially... more
