I happen to think we're awesome at what we do

The person that had entered the Pitch was none other than Elly-waitress. For some reason, he liked her. Elly was funny, care-free, and just saw everything in a very positive light. Something Hector did not necessarily approve of, but found rather refreshing. It was very uncommon to find someone with such an outlook on life. However, he thought that being such a positivist was sort of stupid, since life was somewhat grim. Even when the good was more abundant in his life than the bad, he knew that those things happened, and they sucked. The blonde preferred to have a more realistic vision of what life was about. Yes, he hardly ever knew what hardships were, but it was a way of protecting himself from disappointment or something horrid like that.

Hector drank more water and looked at Elly from the corner of his eyes. She was awkwardly beautiful… or something. The redhead differed from every girl he had ever dated in almost every single way, but she was pretty. Not the pretty he looked for in a girl, but there was no way in denying that fact. They had entered an easy going friendship (who would have thought that he would be friends with a girl in that sense?), and Hector enjoyed spending time with her. It was inevitable, but every time he was with her, he could not help but smile. Elly’s smile was contagious.

“Lucky you?” he raised an eyebrow playfully at her, “Quite the contrary Elly, you won’t be spending time with me.” Hector grinned and stretched, his body was beginning to cool down after all the exercise. The English boy liked that feeling, since it gave him a sense of something. He was not sure of what yet, but he liked it. Hector just watched Elly get ready for flying, something he assumed because she had her broom with her.

“So Elly, how was your summer?” small talk was always something one should have in handy. The fact was that Hector was so unused to being friends with a girl, that he felt out of place and did not know what to do. Girls had always been more than friends with him, and this was new and he needed to get used it, something that was thankfully happening in a rapid manner. This new situation was something he sort of liked, but doubted that would ever happen again. Elly was just one of a kind.
