Calix Panos
Seeking a hit, and hitting a seeker.

It wasn't so much that the brothers were on good terms but rather they had finally found a use for each other. Calix drained the last vestiges of the power potion, feeling himself relax, and the frown so often found on his face spread out into a simple line. Andreas was still his most hated brother, but they had come to an understanding that set Selene at ease, and got her off both their backs. He'd gone into business with Andreas, short-term, and was now enjoying both the products and profits of the business. He had thought Andreas was only good for ecstasy potions but the alternative medicinal stuff was good too. He popped the cap back on the bottle, placing it on the table next to his bed. Streaks of light were filtering in through the shutters, and he squinted into the morning, trying to decide what he wanted to do ('Just want to sleep. That's all I really want.') before he remembered he didn't have a choice.

Lumbering across the trailer, ignoring his still sleeping roommates, he began to pull on his clothes. Sweats he had worn the past three days, a thin black t-shirt, socks, sneakers, and a broom. "Fantastic..." He muttered to himself. He turned on his heel, apparating just outside the pitch. He walked into greetings of "Hola"'s and stood just onto the side of the group gathered around Elly Eriksson.

He had been too relieved to feel happy when he made the team. His mind ran through the different problems he had about the roster, settling on the fact that he was going to have a big problem taking leadership from a girl, he was going to have to work alongside Liana, and he was expected to protect Hector (though he wouldn't mind missing a bludger here and there when it came to that). He didn't know one of the chasers, a Patrick DiCaprio, but didn't mind the other. He would have preferred Gabriel be the captain but he could still work around having to talk to the annoyingly cheerful brightly colored Eriksson by addressing the assistant captain (who could also be annoyingly cheerful but didn't seem so as much today).

He listened closely as Eriksson gave instructions, finally addressing the beaters. He nodded once to show he understood, and then Liana approached him. He was silent as she talked, watching as she looked down from him to the bat in her hands. He looked away, squinting at the sun. "Improvise." He stated shortly. He went over to where the bludgers were being strapped, releasing one and stepping quickly to the side as it sprung up into the air with a bludgeoning force.

He walked back to his broom, slinging a leg over the wood, bending his knees, feeling the hard ground below. One more second, and he wouldn't have to feel it again. He kicked off, rising steadily through the air, beater's bat in his loose grip. He looked over to Liana. "I've never done this exercise before." He called out to her. "I don't know how exactly to go about doing it." His eyes scanned the pitch, taking note of both Elly and where the bludger was whipping around. "So let's just get into it then, yeah?" He urged his broom forward for the bludger. He was fine just working it out from moment to moment. They would probably have some trouble in the beginning, but he had enough confidence in his skills and Liana's (despite his prejudice, he couldn't say she wasn't good) to think that they'd work it out eventually. But he didn't have time for tactics now. 'I just need to hit.'

  • Let's get this started! (Calix)Liana Chapman, Mon Mar 7 00:14
The day of their first Quidditch practice, Liana had woken up before sunrise, too excited to sleep. A part of her still couldn't really believe that she had made the team again this year. Soon... more

      • She nodded in agreement, somehow unsurprised by his reply but still relieved. While plans were always a good idea, they were, in her experience, never followed. It was just a fact of life. Planning... more
        • Done. Now can we go after the seeker?Calix, Tue Mar 15 18:36
His eyes stayed focused on the bludger speeding away from him, but he couldn't help the small grin as Liana flew over him, and a ridiculous image of rainbow flashed across his mind. She was at a... more

Quidditch games were always so loud and crazy in comparison to team practices. It honestly felt a bit weird for her to look at Calix, see he was talking, and actually be able to hear him as well. She ... more

As he'd predicted, Elly ducked the bludger and the ball continued to head toward Liana. He raised an auburn brow when she decided to drop on top of the bludger while hitting it. She obviously hadn't... more

Slowing down as she approached him, she made sure to leave Calix plenty of space as he leaned to hit the bludger. Liana grinned as she watched him knock it straight at Elly. He had really good aim,... more

He watched her hit the bludger back towards Elly, approving of her method even if it hadn't hit. Funny how each of them could use their own vastly different heights to their advantage. He leaned... more

Her smile widened slightly at his reply, she hadnít been expecting it and it was almost a bit of a relief to know he hadnít forgotten. She was about to answer him but the conflicting emotions that... more
