Not to be offensive, but that's a redundant statement
Thu Mar 10, 2011 15:48

Pat didn't know what he thought of a drop pass, since he'd been one of the Chasers back in high school that swooped in and grabbed it mid-pass (it was rather an open shot), but he caught it anyway with his right hand and flew over to the hoops. Practice makes perfect, Pat thought to himself. Even if it didn't start out perfectly. When he had practiced, there hadn't been a Keeper. Maybe putting in some extra practice times with Hyana would benefit them both. That's what he'd done in high school, anyway. When he practiced Quidditch, he practiced.

Patrick was flying fast on his weary broom and though it wasn't as fast as he would have liked, he reached the hoops in no time and stretched his torso as he approached them. He made it look as though he was right-handed, but he quickly changed arms and his muscular left arm was almost a blur as he twisted it and spun the quaffle in his throw to the center hoop. A sharp jab of pain shot through his arm, and he winced. A signature throw didn't always leave him with a perfect arm. It had been pulled multiple times back when he was a Chaser in high school, which only meant that he had to work harder. And that he needed to hurry up and get his healing degree so he could heal himself.

Patrick watched as the quaffle flew through the air, making its way to the center hoop, then moving like lightning to the right hoop instead. He held his breath in anticipation, as he did with almost every shot. He really got competitive when it came to Quidditch, and he didn't like losing.

He turned to Gabriel. "What next, co-cap?" he asked with a little salute and a grin. "Since you guys were on the team longer than I, you must have some team moves, right? Was that one of them?" It seemed a little simple to him, but hey, who was he to complain? It worked! If he could just keep up that throw, then he'd be good. His left arm would definitely be sore tomorrow morning.
