Liana had been mostly tracking the Seekers around the pitch. The two of them were the highest priority; how well she could protect Elly from stray Bludgers or follow through on opportunites to knock the silver Boarhound seeker out could very likely determine the entire outcome of the game. Ordinarily, she would try to spilt her time up between the Seekers and the Chasers, but both sets of Chasers had been sticking very close to each other, and trying to split up the Boarhound chasers without causing major injury to her own side in the process would require a large degree of concentration. She wasn't entirely willing to turn that amount of time and focus away from the Seekers.

And speaking of opportunities... Spotting a Bludger that looked like it was going to cut across Elly's path, she circled around in front of it so that the silver man was right in her line of sight. She caught the Bludger with a strong backhanded crack, aiming for the Seeker's midsection. It flew straight and hard - and fast too, of course. After purposely trying to hit Elly during their first practice, she had really started to pay attention to how quickly Seekers could move, and had adjusted the way her bat connected with the Bludgers. She didn't need to worry too much about angles and curves with them; speed and direct aims were far better.
