As for the signatures on the boats manifest. I would assume they are correct, since they are in the custody of the British/Canadian authorities, and have been for 115 years or so. If you want, you can probably order copies to see for yourself. Or, you could travel to wherever they are in Canada and see the originals. Until then I will have to say that they are genuine.

If after looking at the originals yourself you could ask the record custodians to do tests on the signatures to see if they have either been altered or added later. I don't know how they would respond to a request like that, but if you think they are false, go ahead and ask, it wouldn't hurt to try.

        Good advice. Verification on all of these documents are way overdue. When that process ever happens, I know a few people that are not going to be happy ;)
