Chris,

The rule that ever time something is retold it changes is universal, it applies to everyone, even me. Smile. Dan

PS Putting words in ALL CAPS is cute.

Was a simple comment, but since you want to go down this road..... Your right when something is retold it changes. You are no exception. It is NOT as you state Dan Parker, Rosa Warner, and Concordia. ... more

Just because he is a criminal does not make him stupid as you have stated before. A very ignorant comment on your part. I and others think just the opposite. He was very intelligent. Using code would ... more

This is a very interesting question: Did the WB have any sort of "code" they used to communicate with? They did have a series of drop locations for letters and communiques. Would they have been... more

Im with you. Secret mail locations is all I know about. Would be neat if there was a secret code. I doubt it, but you never know ;)

Unless somehow I missed or read and forgot that they had such a cryptographic system, only someone who who had really good lore knowledge of the WB, who likely would need to have spoken to some... more

I doubt theres anything to a "secret code" lol, but it definitely wouldn't be done with a decoder ring. Possibly something like acrostic cyphering. This was used a long time before Butch came along... more

Vince, Hmm, we've bounced from a possible Sky King Tele-Blinker Decoder Ring, apparently issued to all dues-paying members of the Wild Bunch, to Kerry Ross Boren, best known for having claimed to be... more

Dan, You have the best copy of the Town Disease letter. What is drawn above "16 de Octobre" Looks like Roman numeral 9......IX with some dots. Chris

Chris, Above "16 de Octubre" and below "Cholila. Feb. 29. 1904" is "17" There are several dots or ink specks around the 17. I notice that BC capitalized lots of words that would, per the... more

What I said was true, though. Jesse James was no genius, but his gang seem to used ciphers in some communications. And while the WB weren't smart enough to employ advanced cryptography in obscuring... more

Vince, I would take nothing KRB wrote at face value. He was the Typhoid Mary of early outlaw history. In other words, horse hockey until shown othewise. As for the supposedly coded letters, only one... more

How many people does it take to make up a gang? He had robbed Telluride by the time he wrote a letter to his brother. Matt Warner and Tom MCcarty were with him, so technically he does have a gang.... more

Think you meant progress not process. And yes Dan is as clever and funny as he thinks. In fact more so than you will ever know.
