The letter was found among the belongings of a nun who was a friend and doing research on Wyoming and Outlaws . I believe you know who this was.
It is believed that Minnie was convinced to come clean on stolen goods and atone for other sins she had carried with her in the last ten years of her life. I doubt she would have known the Longabaugh family and sent a blank postcard from the World Fair to them in PA. But who knows. It looks like her nephew was going to to St Louis on the manifest. But cannot really tell if she was. I think it is more plausible that the WB had gifted Mike Brown with the jewelry in payment for past favors then Elzy Lay. But who knows.
