I am not a fan of KRB. Kerry says that the one killed at Parachute is Jim York from Texas. I couldn't find him. Who is this Jim York? I do like answers.

I feel a need to explain my skepticism remark in my previous post. In one True West article there was a page with some remarks of Dan about three things that he did not believe. He did not believe that Butch sought amnesty. He did not believe that Matt Warner was paid to deliver a message to Butch Cassidy. He did not believe that a pistol sold at auction actually belonged to Butch. Two of these have a strong possibility of being true. The third can't be eliminated.

Dan is also too slow to admit that BC and SK came back from SA. That means he calls a bunch of people liars, fools or both. I have done too much family history research to not have an open mind and not to be too quick to jump to conclusions. Whatever you believe about history you need to have a foundation.
Even official documents have quite a few errors. (Should I be saying 2 instead of to or too?) Sorry for my poor punctuation and sentence structure.

Dan is very good at research and must have a very good memory or a very good file system or both. I am impressed.

I hate to be the grammar police because I don't belong to that political party. Come on Chris. You work at a school. You educate for a living. You don't know how to spell "You're"? Or is that some... more

You are absolutely right--the photos do not look alike at all! But the photo and illustration in the Knoxville paper DO look very similar if lined up side by side.

Nicholas, Thanks for the comment. If you want to play grammar police, you can start with Mark's Fiction on the High Seas article. Then, move onto Dan's articles that have multiple issues. best, Chris
