The original Tea Party photo is by definition in 2d not 3d . There are several problems with the image. I say image as it is not the original photo.
I have had two photographers look at it whom I trust. I had tried to lighten it and bring out the grains and up the pixel count on the original photo.
A no starter. It is an image that has been stepped on at least twice according to my sources. IE: - It is an image of an image of an image - IE I believe
it is twice removed from the original - What does this mean ?

It means the perspective is gone and it is at best a two dimensional image . There is no depth as in an actual photo. 2d flat perspective with no grains and the shadows are compromised completely as the image is stepped on.

It means the image cannot be edited to bring out contrast or granularity . One can lighten it but the perspective is gone either way. There is nothing to GRAB
to adjust in a way that bring out perspective.

The pre construction photos (within twenty years of the rebuild ) are also not a reliable source as patch work construction had been done over time to the structure and its roof as well as to Etta's window's and frames. One can argue about facial features that lack perspective or any sense of depth . However , it is tough to beat the provenance of the photo which is spot on. If I was a betting man I would say these are our Outlaws goofing for the folks up north in a "One Big Happy Family " photo sent to the relatives.

I will research the position of the sun with my photographer pro's who I sent this too. - I may have that answer in my email going way back as I recall the chimney pipe is the tell . I cannot recall.

I will get back on that but am in transit right now -

Sincerely,

We can go with the pre construction pics if you want (which I included on the joints and corners). Those are 100% in the right location, as I think the remodel is as well. Look at "The Riders" photo... more

Yes, its a crappy copy. It is a picture of three people in front of a cabin that slightly resembles the Cholila cabin. Again, refer to "The Riders" for a period correct comparison. The roof is... more

I agree with your Rocket scientist - They are not the same structure - They got that right - Angles and all - Simply because it is a rebuilt structure - Not even close - Same site ( google earth ) ,... more

Im glad you agree with rocket scientist as he said there is no way they are the same building.

For clarity , He is correct - the new building and the old original are not the same building - The Tea party photo (image) is as per it's provenance and origin of BC , SK and EP in my opinion.

That includes him looking at all photographs including the Riders photo. Tough question and a sincere one....Why does the Riders photo have the correct bones to the rebuild/pre rebuild and does not... more

The Riders photo in fact has a "tell" that the Tea Party photo ( originals ) also has - It is the rain deflection molding in white on the roof which covers the joints on the roof so the rain does not ... more

Ok. I can agree with that. The Tea Party and Riders both have something on the edge of the roof that look similar. That strip is superficial and would not last forever. Lots of cabins may have had... more
