I know a guy in Idaho named Slick, whose family name in that era would have been something like Shlicktine/Sclichhtein. His great-aunt once told him her uncle or grandfather was a member of Butch Cassidy's gang but he had no interest and made no mental notes of any details. I don't know what the uncle's name was or if it would have been the same name as this man's ancestors of the time, but does anyone know of any outlaws/rustlers in the gang with a name phonetically similar at all?

Can I guess that the lady does not have a name, nor the 12 year old, nor the young Sapinero lady, nor the offending WB member. Still, quite a story. Several stories actually.

But I thought I had told you the tale before. I'll write it up and email it to you. I still have BC's youngest niece's name and address too if you want it, but she is rather old now, if still with... more

Jim, I'm interested in any of the old stories. Will you send me a copy too? Samuel Angevine was one of the original settlers of Hotchkiss, Colorado.

Jim, definitely sent me the details. If you had mentioned it before, it slipped my mind. Dan

That was just HIS family's name. We're talking a aunt's family so the surname may have been different. It was a shot in the dark. Was there a Schlichting in the gang? I coukld have misheard the name

if that was his name, my guess is other members would have called him Slick
