Sorry, please ignore the other post. I'm not too good at computer stuff. I'm pretty sure that, although Stephen Baur was also called John Baur, he wasn't in soapy's gang. In fact, the legend is that my ggrandmother literally SAT on my ggrandfather to keep him from joining the men who finally went after Soapy. If you can give me an e mail, I can send you a photo of Stephen.
It's a pleasure to meet you. Stories of Alaska, wild and crazy, are a pleasant part of my early childhood, as told by my grandad.

      The photograph is owned by a family member, a descendant of one of Soapy's sisters. Soapy gave his sisters many photographs from Denver. Bowers and Morris were well known to Soapy's younger sisters.... more
